She had a special attraction to blonds. Tenderly her fingers wove behind the blonds head, her cheeks up against his feeling the warmth rush to his cheeks and the breath escaping her jaws. He had one of those one of a kind smiles, the ones that invited you in without knowing you. The kind of eyes that wanted to know you, such a welcoming presence, it was addictive, she wanted him and now she had him right where she wanted him. She kissed him, instinctively she wanted more, he did too. Pressing up against him wasn't enough, closer, more heat, more him, her entire body was begging for more, a satisfaction that had to be reached. She pulled away for a moment, her hand brushing his cheek gently as she watched the man melt against the wall she had him playfully pinned against. There was nothing more she wanted in this world in this moment than him. A kiss more, longer this time, met with a small struggle of movement from the man before he relaxed.
She stretched out her long pale arms and could already see the light filtering in from night to dawn. Ugh, it was getting to sun up already and pale skin wouldn't cut it. She closed her eyes and opened her eyes into another person. In one blink she was in the mind of the man he was just kissing. Phantom brushed out his new pretty blond hair, his hand reaching for the phone. For a moment his mind racked through the mans brain before retaining the memory of the mans password and accessed the camera feature to take a look at those pretty blue eyes and genuine smile. He loved it, love at first sight with this body, truly.
With that Phantom walked away from the alley way and into the city. Everyone looked so irresistible! Some days it was hard not to take them all for his hive, like an instinct driven deep inside of him that told him to take until there was nothing left, but his hive.
Natalie Miller had spent the entire morning closed up in the tiny office in the back of the radio station, sifting through songs that had been sent in the decide which ones would be played on the radio. She had to admit that sitting still and paying attention for prolonged periods of time was absolutely not her thing, but of all the assignments she could've gotten, this certainly wasn't the worst. Besides, she liked knowing what people were listening to and having a say in what would make it on air. What she didn't like, however, was that damned stuffy office. It wasn't long before she lost interest. I mean, it didn't even have a window for God's sake. The second she had downloaded all of the files onto her cellphone, she grabbed a small notebook and headed directly out the door.
As soon as she made it onto the front steps of the building, she drew in a breath of fresh, polluted air. Thank Christ. Stretching and ruffling her short black hair with her feet hair, her worn out boots hit the pavement. She jogged through the congested traffic to cross the street and kept a long stride as she made it to the other side of the street. It was a bit of a trek to get to her destination, but it was the best place on this side of the city to camp out and get some work done. She felt like she had been walking an eternity before long. Through the tourist area, past the small manufacturing district, past some exceptionally attractive couple in an alley who clearly thought this was a late-night hallmark movie, and finally to the market neighborhood.
It was just on the other side of this that she found a bench in the middle of a community garden - the locals' vain attempt to class up the joint - and immediately made herself comfortable. Listening through one earbud, she hit play on the playlist and dug a BIC pen from her pocket. Leaning back into the bench as she headed the paper, she took a moment to glance up around her and watch car pass as the markets on the other side of the courtyard buzzed with customers. It was a cute, cliche little community in this part of the city. It was apparent that many of the customers had been patrons for years, and chatted with the owners about god-knows-what as they pretended that they actually wanted the kale in their baskets.
(Super sorry for the delay, it was one giant thing after another, all fun, but busy stuff)
Phantom took a few steps forward, he could feel himself crawling in the humans skin, as it visibly showed. Bumps moved about through the mans arm as though worms were crawling inside of him. Once he felt comfortable with the body he walked away from the alley and proceeded to the nicer part of the city where he could enjoy himself more. He watched as the crowds moved by, waves of people flowing past him, it was easy to catch the gazes of his own hive members returning his watchful eyes with their own drowned out eyes. It was at this time he noticed Natalie, his crystalline blue eyes widened, she was charming looking. He saw few people with such a look as hers, he had to have her. Maybe it was the feeling of being instantaneous shopper, but although he was satisfied moments ago he now realized he needed this person. Maybe they would be kind and not obedient, but actually love his plans and support him unlike other hive members.
Shyly the hive mind slowly side stepped over to her, he just had to get close enough to those lips... There was more than one way to get close, wiping something off of someone's face, leaning in to tell a secret, claiming there was a bug on them and to stay very still. He was a pro at stealing kisses at this point. But how to approach a stranger to make them feel comfortable?
Phantom started by walking by Natalie until he stopped when a scream was heard. By him, from another hive member he was controlling to be in danger. Off to the side was a woman who had slipped into a deep pond, she had hit her head on the rock and was unconscious and unable to attempt to get to shore when it was relatively easy.
"Oh my gosh, we should help her," Phantom exclaimed with the best acting he could muster. Nothing like danger to get someone close to you and desperate enough to trust the only other person willing to help.
Nat's notepad was on the ground and she was on her feet before the scream even had the chance to be cut short by the woman's head connecting with the rock. She bounced through the crowd, past Phantom and down to the side of the pond with muttered apologies through a never-ending string of profanity. Her eyes darted around the pond quickly as she ran a shaky hand through her short black hair. She could absolutely lift the woman out of the water with the roots of a nearby tree, but that wasn't exactly subtle. She paced for a few brief strides before the young woman decided she was wasting time. Nat began kicking off her work boots and sloshing into the water. Doing her best to ignore the churning in her stomach at the feeling of soft, wet Earth squishing up through her socks at each step.
Impulsive. Nothing if not impulsive. It was a bad habit, but it was a nice change of pace these days - that she was rushing in to help someone, and not rushing in to get herself in trouble. That was, of course, until she was riding the subway home later in wet jeans. Who even was this woman? Probably some tourist, looking to get a shot of the pond for her instagram. It didn't matter, she was in trouble and needed help. They taught her how long someone could survive without air in life science class before they had brain damage. How long was it again? Three minutes? Four?
Phantom almost smirked as he watched Nat run to save the person. Perfect. Maybe she would give the girl CPR and that was when he could switch into that body and take over her. And maybe she would be different from the rest... Maybe...
Phantom came to Nat's side, he let out a soft tsk sound, "It's not looking good for her, I don't know CPR, do you?" He asked, his anticipation for this moment growing.
